Confluence: Sojourn

6 September – 12 October 2013

Confluence: Sojourn is a dual artist exhibition featuring an assembly of paintings in acrylic on canvas by Spanish artist, Fernando Suarez and a diverged collection of mixed media works by Thai artist, Kamol Tamseewan.

Fernando Suarez's prodigious output claims formidable energy and spectacular movements in his iconic animal subjects. Embracing varied styles, Suarez's striking and stylized works have consistently attracted attention from a diverse group of audience. Suarez's horse paintings structure a profound attempt to synthesize geometrical shapes and dexterity of dynamic lines.

Growing up in rural Mae Wang District, Kamol Tamseewan examines subjects close to his heart. The works featured in this series exemplify a field of meditative studies that were gathered as a result of the artist's journey with commoners, farmers, labourers and villagers whom he has endearingly grown up with.
